Monte da Casteleja was present with Lagos Municipality in the International Tourism Fair of Lisbon – BTL (considered the largest tourism fair in Portugal), which took place between February 25 and March 01 in the Park of Nations.
This tourism promotion was held under the Association of Municipalities “Terras do Infante” (Lagos, Aljezur and Vila do Bispo), integrated in the “Algarve Space” that linked the Tourism Region of the Algarve and all the Algarve municipalities.
On Saturday, February 28, was scheduled a tasting of local products, called “Lagos and the Sea”, which had a strong turnout and was a success. We introduced Monte da Casteleja and gave wines tasting with local oysters from OstraSelect Algarve company.
The delicious oysters from Ria de Alvor were perfectly married with our wine Monte da Casteleja White 2013… truly enjoyed by dozens of people.
This initiative by Lagos Municipality is to be praised as it shows the way forward: to promote and enhance the good local produce.

Monte da Casteleja went to Lisbon to promote and give a taste of our wines in various projects related to Christmas, a full weekend for the wines of Casteleja.
The presentation in Miosotis was a success! It was excellent for promotion and sales. It’s great to come back to see old friends and many fans of our wines.
On Saturday (December 6) was the presentation of Al Cabaz (Basket) in Lisbon at the Feira das Almas (Fair of Souls) in Regueirão dos Anjos. It’s an initiative from Rede Cooperar that is worth supporting. A basket full of high quality craft products that naturally includes our wine.
Our wine also reached the Bairro Alto. The Christmas Bazaar in the Arquivo 237 on the street Rosa opened doors last Saturday. The bottles of Monte Casteleja shined even brighter, among unique pieces of Portuguese and foreign designers.
That’s how it was at our wine tasting in Mercearia Bio Café, last Friday, the 4th of July in Portimão.
The Mercearia Bio Café is a place worth visiting for the friendliness and competence of the team, the quality of products and a very cozy atmosphere.
Votes of success and that this will be the beginning of an exciting partnership.
Spring has arrived and on the 4th of April we were honoured to receive the visit of the Municipal Executive of Lagos together with the Rector of the University of the Algarve.
