Monte da Casteleja was present with Lagos Municipality in the International Tourism Fair of Lisbon – BTL (considered the largest tourism fair in Portugal), which took place between February 25 and March 01 in the Park of Nations.

This tourism promotion was held under the Association of Municipalities “Terras do Infante” (Lagos, Aljezur and Vila do Bispo), integrated in the “Algarve Space” that linked the Tourism Region of the Algarve and all the Algarve municipalities.

On Saturday, February 28, was scheduled a tasting of local products, called “Lagos and the Sea”, which had a strong turnout and was a success. We introduced Monte da Casteleja and gave wines tasting with local oysters from OstraSelect Algarve company.

The delicious oysters from Ria de Alvor were perfectly married with our wine Monte da Casteleja White 2013…  truly enjoyed by dozens of people.

This initiative by Lagos Municipality is to be praised as it shows the way forward: to promote and enhance the good local produce.
