Testimonial from a danish visitor

Posted on

tom-borgesI attended a tasting 17 or 18th August and wanted to say in this email as I had to go quite quickly, that I found your organic wines quite exciting in ways I was not expecting. They are very well priced for such a producer as yourself also. The white was elegant and balanced with beautiful minerality. The rose was fun but refined and with interesting fruits, but alas this is all from memory and sadly I am unlikely to be able to taste them again.

I drank almost every bottle of wine that I bought over the next few days and don’t regret it. I have one of the good reds lying down on a shelf in my boat to be drunk on a special occasion. Keep up the good work. It would be nice to talk about wine some day, I thought the group I was with were quite a tough crowd!

Organic wine lecture in Centro Ciência Viva de Lagos

Posted on

Last thursday we had a lecture and wine tasting in the Centro Ciência Viva de Lagos. The topic was the benefits of organic wine for the environment and for a healthy diet.

Would be difficult to have a better late afternoon, for those who attended the
lecture and tasted the organic wines with Guillaume Leroux of Monte da Casteleja.

We thank Centro de Ciência Viva de Lagos for the excellent initiative, the photos and the kind words.

Sarah Ahmed – The Wine Detective, selected us for Portugal: new finds, new vintages; after tasting wines for three days solid in Lisbon, on the first week of November. She writes on her website that our wines (Monte da Casteleja Clássico) are still the most authentic, interesting wines she has encountered from the Algarve.

Sarah Ahmed also mentioned us on Facebook right after the wine tasting on 3rd of November:

Journalists on Monte da Casteleja

Throughout the years we have always received with pleasure many journalists who come to see us at Monte da Casteleja and promote our project in their magazines and websites. Some of these articles can be seen and read in the section of our website: Media: Press and honours.

It is in a warm-heated and welcoming environment that we like to show our place, our special “terroir” and our vision of organic agriculture, which is characterized by being socially responsible, ecological and sustainable.

Once again we thank all the people who visited us and who participate in promoting our fantastic Monte da Casteleja.

Here is a small testimony shared on our Facebook page by Emília Freire and David (7/7/2015).

And we ended today’s visits at Monte da Casteleja. Good organic wines and a great reception by the amazing host Susana Guia. With David Oitavem and Vinhos Do Algarve.

Monte Casteleja went to Lisbon in Christmas mode

Posted on

Monte da Casteleja went to Lisbon to promote and give a taste of our wines in various projects related to Christmas, a full weekend for the wines of Casteleja.

The presentation in Miosotis was a success! It was excellent for promotion and sales. It’s great to come back to see old friends and many fans of our wines.

Rede Cooperar

On Saturday (December 6) was the presentation of Al Cabaz (Basket) in Lisbon at the Feira das Almas (Fair of Souls) in Regueirão dos Anjos. It’s an initiative from Rede Cooperar that is worth supporting. A basket full of high quality craft products that naturally includes our wine.

Christmas Bazaar at Arquivo 237

Our wine also reached the Bairro Alto. The Christmas Bazaar in the Arquivo 237 on the street Rosa opened doors last Saturday. The bottles of Monte Casteleja shined even brighter, among unique pieces of Portuguese and foreign designers.
